Last week, we wrote to you about how proud we are to stand strong for workers’ rights. And we asked you to let us know if you support the thousands of essential workers at major companies across the country who have been protesting for better safety protections, working conditions, and pay during the coronavirus pandemic. John, hundreds of folks from across the district signed on in solidarity for workers’ rights everywhere.
The coronavirus pandemic has underscored what we always knew to be true: Working families in our community and across the country are already living paycheck-to-paycheck. And as corporations rake in larger and larger profits, folks on the frontlines are hit hardest. We’ve said this before, but we can’t say it enough: We’re so proud to work day-in and day-out for a candidate who personally understands the value of protecting our working families through organized labor. As a former union member herself, Carolyn knows firsthand the true value of the issues she’s most impassioned about in this race: increased access to affordable health care, protecting Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security, and ensuring that we build an economy that works for all -- not just big corporations. On Team Long, we’re committed to shifting the balance of power from corporations to the hands of workers. But, John, it’s going to take a grassroots movement to make it happen. Will you join us, John in standing strong for workers’ rights.
Thank you for everything you’re doing for our campaign and for our community. In solidarity, we’ll fight on. With gratitude, -- Everyone on Team Long
