Weapons of war don't belong in our communities. When faced with unimaginable tragedy at the hands of gunmen armed with assault weapons, other countries have taken decisive action to protect their citizens from future tragedy. But, despite continuous mass murder in the United States, our lawmakers have failed to ban these weapons of war. Will you respond to Brady’s live poll now and show lawmakers that Americans are done waiting for life-saving action: [[link removed]]

In all of these countries, there has not been a comparable tragedy since legislators acted in the interest of their citizens. Meanwhile, our country remains trapped in a deadly cycle:

Congress failed to ban assault weapons.

Congress failed to ban assault weapons.

We want our country to be free of mass tragedy, too. It's time for our country to act in the interest of our citizens' safety. It's time for our lawmakers to stand up to the gun lobby and take action. Friend, we need to make it absolutely clear to our lawmakers: Take these deadly weapons off our streets.
That’s why we're asking you to speak up today and demand lifesaving action from our lawmakers. We're looking for 2,500 gun violence prevention champions to speak up in fierce support of an assault weapons ban today, before 11:59 p.m. tonight, and your response is missing, friend:
