Since the last election, eight federal electorates have been represented by “Teal” independents.
During this time, the Teals have established a clear record of poor performance and bad judgment.
Their record shows that the Teals:
Vote most often with The Greens.
Advocate a range of higher taxes.
Are weak on security.
Are very unclear on economic policy.
Show a number of examples of hypocrisy.
Only stand against Liberals and Nationals.
Use campaign operatives with strong links to Labor and GetUp.
Are bankrolled by wealthy donors in Sydney and Melbourne.
And won’t say who they’d put into government if there’s a hung parliament.
Since the last election, the Teals have voted most often with the Greens (72% of the time), followed by Labor (61%), followed by Liberal (39%). With votes just on legislation, the gap is even bigger!
A vote for the Teals at the next election risks a Labor-Greens-Teals minority government.
Today we are launching our campaign to highlight the Teals record and this risk.
Our Teals Revealed campaign highlights the key facts about Teal MPs and how they have let down their local communities.
