I’ve heard a lot of politicians talk about “defending our country” and “fighting for freedom.”
But it’s ironic: most of them have never lifted a finger for anyone but themselves.
I’m sick of career politicians driving our great country down the gutter. It’s time for something different.
My name is Hung Cao. I’m a 25-year Navy veteran, LEGAL immigrant, and candidate for the U.S. Senate in Virginia.
Unlike most politicians today, I’ve actually seen what it’s like to fight for freedom. As a Navy Captain, I went to some of the most dangerous war zones in the world like Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia fighting terrorists in face-to-face combat.
I’ve seen how much America’s enemies will do anything to take us down, and I’m not about to let our weak President hand it over to them.
When you’re serving our nation in the deserts of Iraq, Afghanistan, and Somalia, you have to remember what you’re fighting for.
I fought for my five children, my beautiful wife, and the country that I owe my life to.
You see, my family came to America after we escaped communism in Vietnam. My father was put on a kill list, and if it wasn’t for America welcoming us, I probably wouldn’t be alive today.
I chose to fight for our country in the Navy because I owe my life to America.
Now, I’m carrying on that fight for our freedom, but I can’t do it alone.
