This just happened, and you should know about it.

Dan Bishop just said that he wants to “join the fight with Ken Paxton.”

Ken Paxton is the Texas AG, and he’s generally considered the most extreme AG in the country.

Bishop has repeatedly praised him, going so far as to call him his “example” for how to do the job.

They do have a lot in common:

They’re both election deniers.

They’ve both supported putting doctors who perform abortions in prison.

And they’re both big fans of using their position to antagonize people, instead of serving them.

You can hear Bishop in his own words here: [[link removed]]

This isn’t a normal AG election, and it’s still on track to come down to less than 1%.

Bishop wants to transform our state into something much more hostile - particularly for reproductive rights. I’m asking for your support to make sure that doesn’t happen.

As the Texas Attorney General, Ken Paxton:

- was impeached by his own party for accusations of bribery, obstruction of justice, and misusing the AG's power.
- sued to stop Kate Cox from receiving emergency abortion care and threatened to prosecute doctors if they treated her.
- spoke at the rally outside the White House on January 6th.

Dan Bishop called Paxton his "example." North Carolina doesn't need a Ken Paxton or Dan Bishop as its Attorney General.

Together, we're not going to let that happen.

Best,

Jeff Jackson
