Friend, today we’re launching a six-part series of virtual community town halls focused on the impact of the coronavirus pandemic across Massachusetts’ 1st Congressional District.
This town hall series will be an open forum for community members to share their economic and healthcare related challenges. We all know how inadequate the federal government’s response has been to date. We also know that in order for Washington to become more accountable to the people, politicians need to take the time to listen to their constituents’ lived experiences.
Now more than ever, we need accessible leaders at every level of government, but especially in Congress. That’s why Alex is refusing to accept any corporate PAC money, so people never have to question his loyalties. This series of virtual town halls is another effort to keep our movement connected while we stay apart. But these town halls require expensive investments.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your contribution will go through immediately.
This town hall series is in line with Alex's approach to public service. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Alex has regularly updated Holyoke residents via Facebook Live on City updates. The town hall series also comes after a three-part healthcare town hall series in the Fall of 2019, which focused on the specific healthcare challenges of communities in MA-01. We want to continue to provide new avenues for you to engage with our movement and voice your questions and concerns. Our movement is about ensuring our communities have true representation and authentic leadership in our government.
We look forward to seeing you at the upcoming virtual town halls! Team Morse
