Representative Yadira Caraveo's Republican opponent, Gabe Evans, is sharpening the knives and looking to cut access to healthcare for working people.
During a debate between the candidates, Evans expressed support for repealing the Affordable Care Act, saying "We have to go back to making sure we are making health care actually affordable." What he really means is what Republicans have been saying for over a decade: "We don't care about you or your health and well-being. We only care about corporations and campaign donations."
Caraveo, a pediatrician, went on the attack. She criticized Evans' opposition to a state law that capped the cost of epi pens at $60 for a two pack. Evans replied that the "free market" should control drug costs.
