Even before this pandemic began, there was a war on women's health and freedom being waged by sexist, anti-choice lawmakers at every level of our government. And, sadly, that war has not ended.

Make no mistake: this public health crisis is being weaponized to shut down critical reproductive health procedures. It seems the far-right will stop at nothing to level attack after attack on the health and well-being of our nation's women...even in a time of global crisis.

In honor of Women's Health Week, I invite you to join me in standing up for women's health -- including the right to safe, legal abortion. Add your name next to mine to show your support for our nation's women today:

STAND UP FOR WOMEN'S HEALTH

It is not the job of ANY legislator to tell women what procedures are and are not immediately medically necessary right now. That is a decision that must always be made by women themselves in consultation with their medical providers.

Women's Health Week is a time to remind women and girls to make their health a priority, and connect them with the often life-saving services they need. It's also a time for their allies to take action to expand access to care -- not dangerously restrict it.

The urgency of this crisis has only highlighted the need to recommit ourselves to the fight for women's health and autonomy. Tell the Misogynist-in-Chief and his allies: Stop attacking women's health NOW.

I will continue to be an advocate for South Jersey's women, defending their rights, protecting their health, and ensuring there is adequate funding for women's health providers like Planned Parenthood. And I hope you'll join me in these efforts, friend.
