John,

Election Day is just 9 days away, and while the spotlight might be on the big national races, some of the most consequential races are happening down the ballot.

I will tell you in just a moment why Emerge’s work at the state level is crucial to protect our democracy, but first – will you contribute $25 (or more!) to 2X your investment today and help us reach our $50,000 pre-election match fundraising goal?

MAGA Republicans have stacked their candidates up and down the ballots because they know that no matter the outcome of the general election, the power to push their dangerous agenda lies in state legislatures and local races. Even the Harris-Walz campaign knows the effect down-ballot races have in this election, that’s why they invested $25 million to help Democrats win at all levels. Emerge has been calling for this level of investment for years, and we celebrate the impact it will have in 2024 and beyond.

Emerge is at the center of the effort to build a firewall for Democrats down-ballot to help protect our most basic rights, including reproductive freedom and voting rights.

In battleground state Arizona, Emerge alums who delivered the legislative win to overturn the 1864 abortion ban— Eva Burch (SD-09) and Stephanie Stahl Hamilton (HD-21)— are on the ballot. Burch continues to outcompete Republicans in her red district. In the Arizona Senate, Emerge alum State Rep. Judy Schwiebert (HD-02) is a Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC) Spotlight candidate stepping up to run for a newly created State Sen. seat (SD-02), and Emerge alum Christine Marsh (SD-04), another DLCC Spotlight candidate, is defending her recently redistricted seat that she won in 2022 by less than 1200 votes. Emerge alums need 1 seat to tie and 2 to win in each chamber and have a Democratic trifecta.

Similar to Arizona, Emerge has alums running in other key battleground states like Georgia, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. The stakes of this election hinge on Democratic women winning at the state level to solidify our majority.

That’s why Emerge needs your support – Emerge staff are working to give Emerge women on the November ballot the proper support to win in this final stretch. Every dollar you donate in the final days will be matched by a generous donor dollar for dollar up to $50,000!

Will you contribute $25 (or more!) to 2X your investment today and help us reach our $50,000 pre-election match fundraising goal? You have 9 days left to take advantage of our match opportunity – don’t miss out!
