As we reflect on the incredible progress we’ve made at The Trevor Project over the last few years, we're filled with both gratitude and optimism for the future. Together, we have built a foundation that has saved countless lives and strengthened our mission to end suicide among LGBTQ+ young people.
Through our previous Strategic Plan, we’ve reached some remarkable milestones:
* Our Crisis Intervention team ([link removed](i.e.e-newsletter)&utm_source=emailsegment-wholefile1&utm_campaign=generaleffort) expanded its reach, serving over 500,000 LGBTQ+ young people in 2024—a significant increase from 150,000 in 2021.
* We successfully launched specialized services through the 988 lifeline ([link removed](i.e.e-newsletter)&utm_source=emailsegment-wholefile1&utm_campaign=generaleffort) , which now accounts for nearly half of our crisis contacts.
* Our Advocacy team ([link removed](i.e.e-newsletter)&utm_source=emailsegment-wholefile1&utm_campaign=generaleffort) helped defeat approximately 85% of anti-LGBTQ+ youth bills, many of which targeted transgender and nonbinary youth.
* Our Research team shined a spotlight on LGBTQ+ mental health, conducting and releasing four national surveys ([link removed](i.e.e-newsletter)&utm_source=emailsegment-wholefile1&utm_campaign=generaleffort) that deepened our understanding of risk and protective factors.
* The Public Training team delivered over 416 trainings ([link removed](i.e.e-newsletter)&utm_source=emailsegment-wholefile1&utm_campaign=generaleffort) , equipping communities with the knowledge to support LGBTQ+ identities.
* TrevorSpace ([link removed](i.e.e-newsletter)&utm_source=emailsegment-wholefile1&utm_campaign=generaleffort) , our safe online community, has welcomed over 310,000 new members since fiscal year 2020 and has served over 670,000 LGBTQ+ young people since its inception.
These accomplishments are a testament to the unwavering dedication of our community and supporters like you. And while we are incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together, there is still much more work ahead.
That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce The Trevor Project’s new Strategic Plan ([link removed](i.e.e-newsletter)&utm_source=emailsegment-wholefile1&utm_campaign=generaleffort) —our blueprint for a future where every LGBTQ+ young person can live with joy, pride, and safety. This plan builds on our past successes and charts a course toward a world where suicide among LGBTQ+ young people is a thing of the past.
