Dear Patriot,

Looking at this photo used to make me so proud.

<[link removed]>

<[link removed]>

Now it makes me cry.

As you can probably tell from my sons' costumes, my husband Brad is a proud
U.S. Army veteran. He served two tours of duty in Iraq as a Cavalry Scout. And
today he is also a decorated, 9-year veteran of the Las Cruces, New Mexico,
police department.

I'm used to my husband being in danger.

But never in my wildest dreams did I think the biggest threat to Brad
wouldn't come from a radical terrorist or a violent gangster...

...but from a Soros-funded, anti-police prosecutor.

That's why I'm writing you today as a last resort to ask if you'll help me
fight for my husband.
<[link removed]>

Because next February this Soros-funded prosecutor is going to try to rip my
husband away from me and our sons -- and lock him up for11 years -- for saving
a fellow officer's life.

I'm sorry, I'm so angry and heartbroken I don't even know where to begin.

Our nightmare started the day my husband responded to a shoplifting call.

When Brad arrived on the scene, right away he sensed something was off. And
when he and his partner, Officer Keegan Arbogast, asked the suspect to identify
himself, the suspect refused.

So when Officer Arbogast saw a knife sitting on the suspect's lap, hidden
under a water bottle, the officers moved to detain him.

Instead of complying, the suspect got violent.

Everything that happened next happened in an instant.

As the officers tried to subdue him, the suspect went for Officer Arbogast's
gun, trying to pull it from the holster. Then he lunged for Officer Arbogast's
taser, yanked it free, and pointed it directly at him.

In that moment, my husband had no choice -- it was the suspect's life or his
partner's.

He drew his pistol and fired, killing the suspect and saving Officer
Arbogast's life.

When one of Brad's coworkers called me to tell me there had been a shooting, I
burst into tears.

I didn't stop crying until Brad came home. I was so thankful he was safe.

I knew he did what he had to do to protect his partner so they could both
make it home to their families. And when an Internal Investigationand the local
District Attorney cleared my husband of any wrongdoing, I thought this awful
episode was behind us.

I couldn't have been more wrong.

Because more than a year after the incident, the Attorney General of New
Mexico charged my husband with Voluntary Manslaughter!

When I heard about the charges, I was shocked.

Then we did some digging -- and it all made sense.

The New Mexico Attorney General is a rabid far-Left activist who hates the
police. He was funded by George Soros. And because my husband is white, and the
suspect was black...

...this radical prosecutor is determined to make a name for himself by
destroying my husband and dragging his name through the mud.

He even held a press conference and turned the microphone over to the
suspect's family so they could spread hateful lies about my husband, smearing
him as a "racist" and a "cold-blooded killer."

Make no mistake -- these charges are a slap in the face to every brave man and
woman who has ever put on the badge.

Now you can see why I'm so heartbroken and furious.

My husband is an honorable man who wanted nothing more than to serve his
country and his community.

That's why he served for 3 years in the Army as a cavalry scout. And it's why
he served for 10 years as a police officer.

But more than that, he's a wonderful husband and an incredible father to our
9- and 6-year-old boys.

We've tried to explain to our boys as best we can about what's going on.

But they're too young to fully understand.

And I can't bear to think of what it will do to them if one day, Daddy is
taken away and they're forced to grow up with their father behind bars.

But unless people like you speak up to defend my husband against these
disgusting Soros-funded political attacks...

...Brad will miss 11 years of birthdays, wedding anniversaries, and Little
League games.

As I mentioned earlier, Brad's trial starts in February and already, the legal
bills have become overwhelming for our family.

Thank God, we got a call from Jason Johnson.

Jason is a retired police officer -- and he's the President of the Law
Enforcement Legal Defense Fund (LELDF).

If you've ever heard of LELDF, you know they're a national group fighting on
behalf of wrongly-accused police officers like Brad.

LELDF has helped dozens of innocent officers -- and their families -- when it
seemed like there was no hope left.

And with the thought of losing my husband and trying to suddenly raise my two
boys on my own -- I was certainly hopeless.

Not only did LELDF decide to help my husband get the legal defense he
deserves, they're also raising money to pay for the best lawyers and expert
witnesses available.

Jason and LELDF were an answer to prayer for our family.

That's because Brad and I aren't wealthy people. I run our family farm and
Brad is a veteran turned cop.

So I must ask you one of the toughest questions I've ever asked anyone.

Will you donate $35 or any amount to LELDF to help me save my husband?
<[link removed]>

If I had anywhere else to turn, I wouldn't be so bold as to ask for your help.

But I'm so scared for Brad and I will do whatever I can for him -- and for our
sons.

So I pray you'll find it in your heart today to make a tax-deductible gift of
$35, $50, $100 or more to the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund.
<[link removed]>

Brad and I -- and our two sons -- are counting on the good nature and
generosity of kind neighbors like you to help keep Brad home where he belongs.

No matter what you're able to give today, please pray for us. Thank you in
advance for your support.

Sincerely,

Lacy Lunsford

P.S. I already spent a year apart from my husband when he was in the Army.
It's the hardest thing I've ever done. He almost died during that deployment
when the Humvee he was driving hit an IED.

I can't imagine having to spend 11 long, lonely years, trying to raise the
boys by myself -- and worrying every day about my husband, locked up with
hundreds of violent criminals. Please don't let my two boys grow up without
their father --please follow this link right now to make a tax-deductible
donation of $35 or any amount to the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund today.

P.P.S. Brad's trial starts in February, so we're quickly running out time.
Thank you for helping my family fight back against this Soros-funded prosecutor!

More such officers who sacrifice so much for will face similar fates unless we
speak out and stand up for the brave men and women in blue. The next time you
see a police officer in your community, please thank them for their service. To
