Lesko Meetings

I had a great time speaking at the Luke Air Force Base Military Retiree Appreciation Day to honor retirees from around the state. I also got the opportunity to see some fighter jets. I’m thankful for all of our men and women in uniform and their service to our nation!

Get the Facts: Aurora, CO Gang Activity

Within the past few months, the nation became aware of a situation in Aurora, CO where a Venezuelan criminal gang, Tren De Aragua, took over an apartment complex, terrorizing the Americans living there as well as the general community. At the time, residents of the apartment complex released videos of illegal immigrant gang members appearing to go door to door with weapons at the apartment complex and causing harm and undue stress to residents. While the citizens of Aurora and the greater Colorado community suffered, the Colorado governor instead chose to double-down on his promise to be a sanctuary to undocumented immigrants and denied that such an event was occurring at the complex. However, in photos of documents published this week by Aurora City Councilwoman Danielle Jurinsky, emails within the Aurora Police Department revealed the situation had been going on much longer than the general public had been made aware, with some emails about the violent takeover going back more than a year. This week, Councilwoman Jurinsky told Fox News, “I am done. I am tired of the city lying. I am done with the governor who called the cops on me. I am done with the local media. This is an issue of human suffering. Gang members are extorting and torturing other migrants who came here for a better life and to get away from gangs like this." It is unclear at this time what the future may hold for this apartment complex and its residents suffering the effects of Border Czar Kamala Harris’ open border policies; however, one thing is clear, these residents and the American people deserve far better.
