Look, the only way our democracy works is if every voter is able to cast their ballot unimpeded. No barriers, no intimidation, no shame, no fear.

Voter ID laws can be an enormous barrier. Getting an accepted form of voter ID can be difficult, expensive, and time-consuming — especially if you don’t have transportation or disposable income. Why should losing your birth certificate or getting your wallet stolen mean you forfeit your right to vote?
