Hi John,
The District of Columbia's primary is coming up soon on June 2, 2020 where you'll be able to vote for federal and local officials you want to see on the ballot in November.
Voting in the primaries is an exciting time to make your voice heard, but you can only participate if you're registered to vote. The deadline to register to vote is tomorrow, Tuesday, May 12. You can still register at the polls during early voting or on Election Day, but officials are encouraging voters to practice social distancing and vote by mail.
Check your voter registration status right now.
If you’re not registered to vote, there’s still time to make sure you can vote in the primary. Registering to vote online only takes a few minutes. Remember, if you’ve moved since the last time you voted or changed your name, you’ll need to update your registration to be allowed to vote.
Then, request a mail-in ballot. While we all practice social distancing, voting by mail is a safe way to make our voices heard. If you haven't already, request a mail-in ballot by the deadline on May 26, 2020. Request your mail-in ballot now >>
Now, forward this email to three friends or family members in D.C. to remind them to register to vote before the deadline tomorrow.
Thanks!
