This isn’t my first political rodeo, folks. I know better than to listen to unsupported claims and half-baked rumors.

I’m an evidence guy, and I always prefer to focus on the facts at hand.

Experts have repeatedly called this Senate map “brutal” for Democrats, and I’m inclined to agree. Defending our Senate majority next month will not be easy.

Don’t just take it from me. The proof is in the pudding.

Democrats are defending 23 Senate seats; Republicans are defending just 10.

Our nine battleground Democrats – Jon Tester, Tammy Baldwin, Jacky Rosen, Bob Casey, Sherrod Brown, Ruben Gallego, Elissa Slotkin, Angela Alsobrooks, and Colin Allred – are neck-and-neck in polls against their likely GOP opponents.

National Republicans and their ultra-wealthy backers have invested tens of millions into defeating them.

It’d be naive to think they stopped there. In fact, big-time GOP donors are quietly investing huge last-minute resources into flipping Senate seats in blue states like Virginia and California.

Losing the Senate majority would be a truly catastrophic blow to our Democratic agenda.

And, without a Democratic majority to check his power, we could see a completely unrestrained Donald Trump in the White House. I can think of few things more terrifying than that.
