I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished so far:
- Protecting local jobs: As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, I’ve secured billions of dollars to revive the submarine industrial base here in Southeastern Connecticut. This led to shipyard hiring making New London County the fastest growing job market in the state in 2023.
- Fighting for affordable, accessible healthcare: I’m proud to be part of the coalition that finally capped the cost of insulin at $35/mo. for Medicare and will soon lower the cost of prescription drugs for dozens more. I’ve also helped to increase funding for rural and veterans hospitals and worked to expand treatment options for opioids and mental health crises.
- Reducing costs for Connecticut’s families: I’ve worked to lower the costs of college and expand vocational education, helping students to attain higher education and prepare for well-paying jobs in today’s workforce.
These aren’t just numbers—they represent new opportunities for hardworking families right here at home. We cannot allow these gains to be reversed.
