In just a moment, I am going to ask you to make a contribution to my friend Debbie Mucarsel-Powell. But before I do, you deserve to know why your donation to her campaign means so much -- especially today.

Here is the truth:

If just one Democratic incumbent Senator loses this November, Republicans will take control of the Senate.

Unless...

Unless we can flip a seat.

And Democrats may have no better chance to do just that than with Debbie Mucarsel-Powell in Florida.

I've seen polls that show this race is a dead-heat, and I know that if Debbie has the resources to win she has a good chance.

But no one person can out-spend Republican Senator Rick Scott by themselves. It will take a team. Because the outcome of this election is not simply something we can afford to sit back and witness. We all have a role in shaping the outcome.

So I am asking:

I would not ask if I did not think Debbie had a chance to win this race. But it will only happen if we're all in this together.
