John, EVERY war is a war against children. That belief inspired Eglantyne Jebb to found our sister organization, Save the Children, over 100 years ago.
Like you and me, Eglantyne envisioned a future where no child knows the horrors of conflict.
One where violence never forced Junior’s* family to flee the Democratic Republic of Congo.
At just 12 years old, he couldn’t bear to trade his home, school and friends for life in a refugee camp. Instead, Junior stayed behind with his uncle – and was eventually forced to join an armed group.
Thrust onto the frontlines, a now 17-year-old Junior says, “I couldn’t handle the atrocities. Luckily, I made it out alive.”
Not every child gets a second chance, John. As conflicts spiral around the globe, join me in defending kids’ rights!
