I’m grateful to every one of you who’s been out there knocking on doors with us in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Long Island and the Hudson Valley, and joining phone banks to swing districts around the country.
This election is so critical for so many reasons – abortion and democracy are on the line.
We need Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to win and defeat the fascist Donald Trump and elect a Democratic House and Senate.
But, there is also a lot at stake for us in NYC too. I’m on the ballot, but there are also –
six important ballot questions on the back of your ballot, and I wanted to tell you how I’m voting (don’t forget to flip it over!).

Here in NYC we have six important ballot proposals that are located on the back of your ballot.
Here are the details and how I’m voting on the six ballot questions:
I’m voting YES on Proposal 1, an amendment to our state constitution that would enshrine the right to abortion access and protect LGBTQ+ New Yorkers from discrimination. Prop 1 will protect New Yorkers from discrimination based on ethnicity; national origin; age; disability; and sex, including sexual orientation, gender identity and pregnancy—as well as protecting abortion rights.
I’m voting NO on Proposals 2-6 to protect checks and balances in our City government and stop Mayor Adams’ power grab. These proposals are the result of the Mayor rushing through a Charter Revision Commission process with little public input earlier this year.
