Congressman Ken Calvert and Menifee Mayor Bill Zimmerman
On Thursday night, I was honored to attend the Menifee State of the City Address and Taste of Menifee at Mt. San Jacinto College. I have enjoyed partnering with Menifee city leaders to find ways to bring federal resources to solve problems. Working together with Menifee officials, my office has been able to identify projects that are eligible for federal Community Project Funding.
These projects include:
- The construction of a new bridge where Bradley Road crosses the Salt Creek;
- The Scott Road/Bundy Canyon Road widening project;
- Converting homes from septic to sewer in Quail Valley; and
- The proposed Garbani Road Interchange Project on the 215.
After these projects were identified, I went to work in Washington to fight for Menifee. Thanks to our joint efforts, in just the past few years we’ve been able to secure more than $16 million in federal funding for projects here in Menifee. Throughout this process, it’s been a pleasure to work and collaborate with Mayor Bill Zimmerman, who is a tremendous advocate and champion for the city of Menifee.
