And the ACLU is ready to defend it.

I want to make you a promise, ACLU Supporter.

With just 10 days until the election, we know that more attacks on the right to vote are coming. We know that there will be attempts to stop people from accessing the ballot box and even to stop the counting of ballots altogether.

I promise that the ACLU will do everything in our power to make sure every eligible voter can vote – and every vote is counted. But we need you with us. <[link removed]>

We have lawyers, volunteers, and advocates in all 50 states. ACLU lawyers help staff a nationwide election protection hotline. And as I write to you, we're fighting in court in Texas, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania to protect the vote.

You know that our very democracy is at stake in this election – it's why you became an ACLU supporter, and it's why we need your help today. And thanks to the generous support of donors, your gift today will be MATCHED – meaning that your donation will go twice as far in our fight to protect voting rights.

Please, will you make your first donation to the ACLU right now to fund critical work defending civil rights and liberties ahead of the election? <[link removed]>

Early voting is already underway across the country, and voters are making decisions that will impact LGBTQ rights, abortion access, immigrant rights, freedom of speech and more. We know that the impacts of this election could change the landscape of our rights for years to come.

It is crucial that every single person has a chance to vote and that every vote is counted. The ACLU is fighting every day to protect this fundamental right:

* On September 30, we won a trial in Texas where we challenged a law that would restrict the ability of organizations to engage in voter advocacy near mail-in ballots. Just two weeks later, we scored another victory when the same federal court said Texas cannot deny voters who require assistance to vote the right to choose the assistor of their choice.

* On October 2, we sought to intervene in a lawsuit that would have unfairly removed 19,000 voters from the rolls in the largest county in Nevada, just before Election Day, resulting in those challengers agreeing to drop their lawsuits completely.

* On October 15, we filed to intervene to defend against an effort to compel the Milwaukee Election Commission and Wisconsin Election Commission to improperly initiate a purge of tens of thousands of voters from the voter rolls.

But we can't do it alone.

As an ACLU supporter, you've played a vital role in supporting our work. Now, we're asking you to help ensure that the ACLU is equipped to do what it takes to protect every vote. Our democracy is at stake, and with you in our corner, the ACLU will continue to be uniquely prepared to defend it.

Are you in, ACLU Supporter? Millions of people are counting on us, so please: Will you make a 2x-matched donation now to ensure that every vote is protected and counted in our upcoming election – and beyond? <[link removed]>

Thank you for your dedication. I'm so grateful to have you on our team.
