Praise God for IJM's work in the Philippines, where survivors and government officials co-designed policies to fight trafficking. A government official recently shared how this initiative shaped key policies. Please pray for continued collaboration between IJM and government leaders, the advancement of survivor-informed policies, and successful partnerships with other countries to adopt this approach. |
Africa & Europe |
Praise God for the passage of two new laws in Romania that will improve assistance for survivors and accountability for traffickers. IJM worked with partners to develop these new laws which will help the Romanian government to more effectively respond to human trafficking. One bill was passed earlier in the year to increase the minimum sentencing for trafficking, and these two bills that passed in early October will ensure that more cases are recognized as trafficking, and that victims receive better support. |
Latin America |
Please pray for a survivor and her family from Peru. Our partner in the region is handling the legal case involving her sexual abuse. Please pray that God will bring justice and healing to her heart. Their home was recently damaged by wildfires in the Amazon region, so we also ask for prayers for the reconstruction of their house. Please pray that IJM can work with local organizations or churches to provide the materials this family needs to rebuild. |
South Asia |
Please join us in praying for several cities in South Asia affected by severe winds and flooding from cyclones. Pray for protection over vulnerable populations and that aid will reach those in need quickly. May God sustain those affected and provide relief and comfort in the days ahead. |
