John, I’ve seen firsthand how our nonpartisan Election Protection volunteers in Pennsylvania help ensure that every eligible voter can make their voice heard.
Supporting first-time voters navigating the process, guiding them on identification requirements, or providing non-English speakers with the resources they need — our volunteers are always there. They’ve even stood by voters facing harassment from extremist groups trying to intimidate people out of voting.
John, I know that, like me, you’d rather have trusted, friendly volunteers assisting voters on Election Day — helping them understand their rights and cast their ballots safely and securely — than leave them vulnerable to intimidation or confusion.
Without swift action, anti-voter extremists who spread the Big Lie will get exactly what they want: less support for vulnerable voters, and a scaled-back voter protection effort that leaves people without the help they need.
But if Common Cause Pennsylvania members like you step up today, we can build something truly powerful this election.
Our volunteers don’t just stop bad things from happening — they create moments of civic pride. They bring joy and confidence to the hundreds of voters they interact with. And that’s why, as I write to you, we’re expanding our volunteer training program and stepping up recruitment — to make sure that we have enough volunteers to meet the needs of this moment.
Because that’s the key to stopping these ballot bullies. They want to make elections scary and chaotic. But with your support, we can remind voters that democracy is something worth celebrating.
John, can I count on you to help bring civic joy this November by chipping in $50 (or whatever your can spare) to sponsor a volunteer and ensure Pennsylvania voters can cast their ballots without fear or intimidation?
Together, we can protect the vote and build a stronger democracy for all.
Thanks for all you do,
Philip Hensley-Robin, Executive Director
