John,
In 1988, my mom, Betty Tamposi, ran for this very same Congressional seat after serving our community in the New Hampshire legislature for 6 years. During that race, her opponent’s campaign used the phrase:
"A woman’s place is in the home, not in the House."
My mom didn’t end up winning, but she never backed down, and neither will I.
Today, women make up less than one-third of the members of Congress, but more and more women across the country are stepping up and running for office than ever before!
I’m running for Congress to pick up where my mom and the trailblazers before us left off so we can build a government that truly reflects the great diversity and strength of our nation. That means fighting to defend reproductive freedom, protect our sacred right to vote, and lower costs for hard-working families.
It’s time for a new generation of women to flip the script and prove that a woman’s place is in the People’s House – but I can’t do that without your continued support. Will you join me by rushing a contribution to my campaign today?
