The Government has announced when buffer zones will be enforced around abortion clinics in England and Wales. Section 9 of the Public Order Act will be in force from Thursday 31st October 2024.
This may now be the law of the land, but we cannot let this historic assault on basic freedoms go unmarked.
Therefore, SPUC is holding a demo outside The Houses of Parliament to protest against the introduction of buffer zones.
Please join us if you are able to get to London. We must raise awareness among our fellow citizens that it is now a crime to pray against abortion, to offer women help, and, ludicrously, to attempt to “influence” someone on abortion within 150m of abortion clinics.
