Hi Friend --
We all know this election will be close -- close enough that every
door knock and phone call to turn out less consistent voters will
matter. Now is the time to get involved with get out the vote efforts
if you haven't already.
Our analysis of last week's turnout shows that Durham's numbers
were very similar to 2020. This is NOT strong enough to reach
our targets to ensure victory for our critical statewide races,
especially as we see that more Republicans have been turning out early
this year.
Overall we need to do 10% better with voter turnout in Durham than
2020 to be able to win statewide.
Last week, approximately 9,000 Durham voters turned out for early
voting each day. These numbers tend to slip in the second week, but if
we can keep them consistent all week, we can meet that 10% improvement
target!
Please
join our friends at Durham Delivers, a local candidate-led effort
designed to deliver the win margin for Democrats statewide, for a
virtual training this Sunday focused on targeted
strategies for mobilizing the voters we need to turn out during this
critical final week of early voting.
The training is this Sunday, October 27 from 6-7 p.m. Click
here to register to join the training and learn how you can pitch in
for this critical week. You will receive log-in
information after registration.
