Dear Fourth District Constituent,
We are ten days away from Election Day. Whether you're a Democrat, Republican, or Independent, I strongly encourage you to exercise your right to vote.
Many Minnesotans enjoy the tradition of voting in-person on Election Day. But if you prefer to get it out of the way, you can skip the line altogether and vote early (scroll down for early voting locations) or register to vote by mail. If you vote by mail, you can track your ballot online to make sure it's counted.
Whatever questions you may have about voting, you'll find the answer on mnvotes.gov. Here, you can double check your registration, view a sample ballot to help you with your research, and track live results on Election Night.
Innovative Solar Demonstration
On Thursday I toured the research and development site for LEMA, a Saint Paul solar company. I joined employees and representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Marine Corps University to learn more about the innovative solar technologies being developed by the company in partnership with U.S. government agencies for use around the world in various applications, including micro-electric grid and water treatment and communications systems.
LEMA Founder Brian Plourde talks with Congresswoman McCollum under a Solar Panel at LEMA's Research and Development Site.
Official Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin
The 2008 National Defense Authorization Act directed the Secretary of Defense to create a program that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. The official Vietnam War Commemoration continues through Veterans Day 2025 as it supports federal, state, and local government programs and activities.
I look forward to meeting Vietnam veterans and honoring them with a presentation of
the official Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin as a lasting recognition of our nation’s gratitude for their service. All living United States veterans who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces at any time between November 1, 1955, to May 15, 1975, regardless of location of service are eligible to receive this lapel pin. To identify eligible veterans, an individual or veteran’s family member may complete this form, and email it to [email protected].
