In Congress, I am committed to making sure our community receives the federal support and resources we need to grow and thrive. This year, I’m proud to have secured over $17 million in federal funding for 15 local projects that will directly benefit the Inland Empire.

Here’s a look at three impactful community projects this funding will support:

$963,000 for California State University, San Bernardino’s Tech and Workforce Hub Project

One of my top priorities is ensuring that young people growing up in the Inland Empire can find a good career right here in our community. I am proud that the funding I secured will help upgrade technology in CSUSB’s Tech Workforce and Apprentice Hub, giving students hands-on experience in fields like cybersecurity. This means more local job opportunities and a better future for our kids.

$850,000 for the Omnitrans’ Battery Electric Buses and Design of On-Route Charging Infrastructure

San Bernardino’s air quality is among the worst in the nation, and it’s crucial that we invest in cleaner transportation options. I’m proud that the funding I secured will help Omnitrans purchase three new zero-emission electric buses and on-route charging stations for San Bernardino’s fleet. These buses will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote public transit, making a lasting impact on our air quality and transportation system.

$963,000 for the City of San Bernardino’s Safety Camera Project

Whether it’s improving public safety, creating jobs or improving our air quality, I’ll continue fighting to bring more federal dollars to our community. I’m committed to ensuring we get the investments we need to make the Inland Empire a great place to live, work and raise a family.
