GETTING THE STORM LAKE POST OFFICE REOPENED
Last week, after being contacted by a constituent, my team reached out to the Consumer Affairs Manager and the Storm Lake Postmaster inquiring when the Storm Lake Post Office would reopen after it was closed for roughly three months due to damage sustained from a car accident in July.
Following this inquiry, construction wrapped up and approval was given for the building to reopen.
Iowans – especially those in rural communities – rely on the post office to receive their mail, pay their bills, and get their prescription medications. For the post office in Storm Lake to be closed for months on end denies Iowans of this important service.
I’m glad the Storm Lake Post Office reopened and will allow residents to access their PO boxes and send mail in a safe atmosphere. I will continue to work to deliver for our communities.

MY FOURTH BIANNUAL 36 COUNTY TOUR IS OFFICIALLY COMPLETE!
Yesterday, I completed my 4th biannual 36 County Tour — making at least two stops in every county in the 4th Congressional District every year!
This is a promise that I made to Iowans when I first ran for Congress, and I’ve kept my word by registering more than 320 stops over the last four years.
Below, you'll find pictures and descriptions from yesterday's four stops!

VISITING THE ESTHERVILLE AIRPORT
This week, I also visited the Estherville airport and checked out the Iowa Lakes Community College aviation program, which is helping address our pilot shortage.
I’m glad that City Administrator Penny Clayton and Mayor Adam Edwards could join us!

PROTECTING OUR ELECTION INTEGRITY
According to a recent Gallup poll, 83% of Americans support proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote.
I agree.
It's why I voted for the SAVE Act, which would require proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote and ensure only Americans vote in our elections.

Vast majority of Americans support photo ID requirement to vote, new poll says | A Gallup Poll released on Thursday shows that most Americans support having photo identification as a requirement to vote in elections. | | | |
FOURTH DISTRICT FOCUS: MY TIME WITH THE CARROLL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ON CAPITOL HILL
The other week, I had the pleasure of welcoming the Carroll Chamber of Commerce to Washington, D.C. where we discussed a wide range of topics, including rural healthcare, EMS services, the Farm Bill, and support for entrepreneurs and small businesses.
I always enjoy these visits because they allow me to hear directly from our communities about the issues facing our families, farmers, and businesses and brainstorm how I can support local needs through meaningful policies and legislative solutions.

SUPPORTING OUR PRODUCERS
On Tuesday morning, my Legislative Assistant — Josh — made his way to Wright County to meet with Stu Swanson who is President of Iowa Corn.
I’ll keep working to stop Mexico’s ridiculous ban on American corn, repeal Brazil’s costly tariffs on our ethanol, and support our corn growers.

CELEBRATING 140 YEARS OF FAMILY OWNERSHIP
On Wednesday, my Agriculture and Manufacturing Liaison — Wes — attended the Le Mars Chamber of Commerce Coffee celebrating 140 years of family ownership of John and Carol Schneider’s farm in Plymouth County.
