Democrat,

There are 10 days until Election Day. I cannot think of anything more important than playing your part and doing something. Whether it is phone banks, canvasses, or even donating snacks to volunteers; there truly is something for everyone to do.

Want to get involved in a swing state? We have opportunities to make phone calls into North Carolina or get on a bus to knock doors in Pennsylvania.

Chairman's Update

But if there is one and only one thing you can do - go vote. Vote this weekend actually. Early Voting began in New Jersey in 2021, offering an opportunity to vote before Election day itself. This is an incredible opportunity for everyday New Jerseyans who work late, work multiple jobs, don’t have access to childcare or for any reason, cannot make it to the polls on Tuesday, November 5th.

You can vote at any location in your county, not just your local polling site. An easy tool to find your closest polling location in your county can be found HERE.

Early Voting dates and times are as follows:

Saturday, October 26, 2024 – Sunday, November 3, 2024
Monday - Saturday: 10:00AM–8:00PM
Sunday: 10:00AM–6:00PM

Governor Murphy Update

Chairman's Update

Governor Phil Murphy announced that his administration has invested over $1 billion to expand access to high-quality, affordable child care in New Jersey. He introduced an additional $17 million for the NJEDA's Child Care Facilities Improvement Program, bringing the total investment to over $140 million—one of the largest in the nation. The program provides grants of up to $200,000 for child care improvements, with $85 million already awarded to over 400 centers serving more than 34,000 children.

“Affordable, exceptional child care is a vital part of a stronger and fairer New Jersey economy, and the increased funding announced today will strengthen our state’s economic security and provide equitable opportunities to working parents,” said Governor Phil Murphy. “Increased access to high-quality child care allows more parents to return to the workforce, bolstering New Jersey’s economic growth and competitiveness. Thank you to the Biden-Harris Administration, who have provided record-high federal funding to expand access to child care, health care, and other critical resources for families in the Garden State.”

President Biden Update

Chairman's Update

President Biden has been engaged in a long-standing battle against Big Pharma, pointing out the industry's special exemption that barred Medicare from negotiating prescription drug prices. The Biden-Harris Administration, alongside dedicated advocates, has worked hard to change this and to give Medicare negotiating power similar to that of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, which enables such negotiations, shows clearly that not one Republican supported it in either the House or Senate.

“For years, advocates, like many of you here today, have worked tirelessly to change that and to give Medicare the power to lower prescription drug prices, just like the Department of Veterans Affairs was able to do for veterans. Same power. And it matters. It matters a lot. That’s why one of the proudest things I’ve ever done was pass the Inflation Reduction Act that allowed us to negotiate lower prices for prescription drugs. Not a single Republican voted for this — not one single Republican in the House or Senate voted. Not one,” said President Joe Biden.
