Friend -
It’s your friendly neighborhood progressive mom here, back in the swing of things. With Halloween creeping around the corner, many of us are getting ready for some spooky fun—costumes, candy, haunted houses, and maybe even a good scare or two. But you know what’s scarier than any haunted house?
Letting this election pass without making your voice heard.
That's right—November 5th is just around the corner, and while we’re gearing up for our favorite holiday, it’s just as important to gear up for the election. So here’s my Halloween PSA: Don’t BOO—Vote! 🎃 The future doesn’t have to be spooky, folks. If we all do our part, we can give this year a happy ending.

Here are some quick, easy ways you can get ready to make your vote count:
1.
Check
your
voter
registration:
You
don’t
want
any
nasty
surprises
when
you
show
up
to
the
polls.
Take
a
minute
to
make
sure
your
registration
is
up
to
date.
If
something
looks
off,
you
still
have
time
to
fix
it!
(Pro
tip:
Check
now
before
the
Halloween
sugar
rush
hits.)
2.
Make
a
voting
plan
:
Whether
you’re
voting
early,
mailing
in
your
ballot,
or
heading
to
the
polls
on
Election
Day,
make
sure
you’ve
got
a
plan.
Need
a
ride?
Coordinate
with
a
friend
or
check
out
local
ride-share
options
that
help
voters.
3.
Review
your
ballot:
Down-ballot
races
may
not
get
all
the
headlines,
but
they’re
critical.
Take
some
time
to
research
who’s
running
for
those
local
offices,
because
*those*
are
the
people
making
decisions
that
impact
your
community
day
in
and
day
out.
The future doesn’t have to be a horror show. Voting is one of the most powerful things we can do to shape the future—not just for ourselves, but for our families, neighbors, and kids growing up in this world.
So while you’re planning your costume and prepping for Halloween parties, don’t forget to make plans for November 5th. And if you hear anyone talking about skipping the election? Tell them to “boo” the ghosts, not the polls . 🗳️

PowerPAC is a social justice organization that strategically directs financial and human resources to local and state organizations working to deliver wins in legislative fights, ballot initiatives, and more. For years the money we've raised has, dollar for dollar, been given back to the communities we work with. We've made sure that your investments were being used to build power for our communities because too often we are underrepresented and ignored.
