Hi Fellow Young Democrat,
As an organization, one of our top priorities is recruiting, training, and supporting young Democrats on the ballot across the state. Our mission is to elect candidates who represent our shared Democratic values and advocate for what’s best for all Hoosiers.
“The rebrand of Indiana Young Democrats and the election of our first Afro-Latina President and first Black queer Vice President signals a progressive move forward for our organization," says Arielle Brandy, President of Indiana Young Democrats. "We are redefining Mike Pence’s backyard and reflecting the diversity that lives in this state.”
While we have made significant contributions to the party and to electing more Young Democrats to office at all levels of government, we know there is still work to be done. We are building off of a year of progress and are excited to do so with a new branding that represents a fresh and progressive organization we are building for our members and candidates. While our commitment to the community we serve will not change, there is incredible potential to grow and our new branding positions us for those opportunities.
We will continue to recruit and inspire young people all over our state to become active in Democratic politics, build chapters throughout the state that can help local Democrats get elected, and make partnerships that strengthen our foundation. Our legacy is the engagement and mobilization of young people that is paramount to turning Indiana blue.
