Budzinski reflects on first term, talks reelection
— Daily Illini, October 16, 2024
“It’s been truly the honor of my life to have this job in these last two years. And that’s why I’m running for reelection,” Budzinski said. “I am excited about a second term because I think we can build on some of the successes that we’ve had.”

And I meant, it, team.
Serving this district has been an honor, and I’m truly excited for all that we have yet to accomplish together.
Recently I sat down with student journalists at the Daily Illini and answered their questions about what we’ve accomplished in our first term and where we’re going from here.
Let me be clear, friends, as long as I’m serving the communities of Illinois’ 13th District, you’ll have a fighter for working-class families, our hard-working farmers, and our right to reproductive freedom.
I’ve also worked across the aisle to cut through bureaucracy and red tape that keep our veterans from easily accessing the services and benefits they’ve earned.
But I’ll be honest: We’re in a tough fight to protect this frontline seat, and we could really use a boost in our grassroots support in these final few weeks. Can I count on your support today?
