Christy Smith here — I'm running for Congress in California's 25th district.

I never expected that I would be running for Congress in the midst of a global pandemic — I don't think anyone would. But what's at stake in our special election for California’s 25th Congressional District has never been more obvious.

Families across the nation are facing immeasurable hardships right now. On top of trying to stay safe and healthy, too many are also struggling to put food on the table. I think of those who are hurting, then I fight harder, because I know winning this seat could be the difference between keeping or ceding the House majority.
