With a background in policy development and nonprofit leadership, Christian’s experience spans from the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute to the Aspen Institute. He’s dedicated to advancing Latino political power and improving lives through civic engagement To the NALAF Board:✨ Ross Morales Rocketto Ross is the co-founder and senior advisor of Run for Something, an organization dedicated to recruiting and supporting the next generation of young, diverse, and progressive political leaders. With more than 150,000 individuals supported and over 1,000 new leaders elected nationwide, Ross brings unparalleled experience in electoral politics, advocacy, and building infrastructure for future leaders. ✨ Ianthe Metzger Ianthe leads Planned Parenthood’s advocacy communications, specializing in federal and state policy, litigation, and elections. With a wealth of experience from organizations such as The Collective PAC, EMILY’s List, and the Human Rights Campaign, Ianthe is a powerful advocate for reproductive health and justice. She is passionate about elevating diverse voices in politics and policy. ✨ David Sánchez David has been a driving force behind large-scale volunteer engagement and strategic political campaigns across the U.S. As a seasoned leader in democracy and environmental advocacy, David’s commitment to social change is evident through his decade of work with grassroots movements and nonprofits. He now brings his expertise to the Texas Civil Rights Project as Chief of Staff.
✨ And a special congratulations to Maria Javier, our new NALAF Board Chair! As Chief Information Officer at Public Wise, Maria oversees digital tools, website builds, data, and analysis across all platforms. With over 13 years of experience, Maria is a leading digital and communication strategist with a track record of success, including her work as New York State Digital Director for Hillary for America, Digital Director for the City University of New York, and Communications Director for Define American. Maria is also a proud graduate of New York City public schools, holds a BA in Media from Hunter College, and an Executive Master in Public Administration from Baruch College.
