“I think there should be a freedom caucus in every state…for the very first time, there are groups of people, not only in Washington, but in our state houses that are actually standing and doing what they said they would do. If we abandon them now, we deserve what we get. These people are brave enough to stand. We must support them.”
- Glenn Beck
Friends,
State Freedom Caucuses are incredibly successful - first and foremost - because they are strong freedom-loving people who effectively work together for our shared conservative values. But a big part of that is their ability to form coalitions and partnerships with like-minded organizations.
Our Louisiana Freedom Caucus was instrumental [ [link removed] ] is helping PragerU introduce their curriculum in Louisiana public schools.
America First Legal and the Alliance for Defending Freedom have provided excellent legal assistance for our states. AFL filed a lawsuit [ [link removed] ] (and won) on behalf of the South Carolina Freedom Caucus. Both organizations have assisted our states - like the Louisiana Freedom Caucus - in drafting bills. This is absolutely critical because most lawmakers rely on committee staff and legislative counsel to draft bills - but they often draft them in a way that sabotages the freedom caucuses’ efforts.
On several occasions, State Freedom Caucuses have enlisted the help of the American Accountability Foundation, which provides critical opposition research into what woke agencies are doing behind the taxpayers’ back.
Our states have also worked extensively with Do No Harm, which recently released a report [ [link removed] ] on how expansive and dangerous the practice of transgender surgeries for minors is in our country. Each freedom caucus promoted the report and highlighted the its horrific statistics regarding their respective states.
Likewise, Riley Gaines has been a fantastic partner [ [link removed] ] with the Network, working with our states on issues like keeping boys out of girls’ sports and fighting the woke transgender surgery agenda.
“The work that the State Freedom Caucus Network is doing in the different states is remarkable. There is no one who is fighting harder for our freedoms.”
- Riley Gaines
The Conservative Partnership Institute has been a critical ally for the Network, helping our states by hosting educational training sessions and connecting them with national thought leaders.
When it comes to messaging and working with the media, our states have great relationships with state and local conservative radio shows. Our Missouri state director - Tim Jones - even has his own radio show [ [link removed] ] in St. Louis where he promotes the success of the local Missouri Freedom Caucus and the nearby Illinois Freedom Caucus. And The Blaze, led by the amazing Glenn Beck and Daniel Horowitz, has constantly amplified our efforts since we launched in 2021.
These are just a few examples, but the best part is that our coalition efforts are only getting bigger and stronger. There are countless national and state think tanks that have assisted state freedom caucuses. And the number of grassroots groups and activists is constantly growing because they have come to trust and support the “Freedom Caucus” brand and our shared mission.
“I’m convinced now more than ever that if we’re going to save this country, it has to happen at the state level. And I think the State Freedom Caucus Network is leading the charge to make that a reality.”
- Former Senator Jim DeMint, CPI Chairman
Bottom line: The State Freedom Caucus Network will continue to expand into new states, but at the same time, the current states are organically expanding their own reach because of our great allies and partners. It’s an integral part of our success.
Keep fighting,
Andy Roth
