Just wanted you to take one minute to check out this article I just saw about the state of my race.
Jack,
Mirror Indy, a local non-profit newsroom just declared our race a "toss-up." Reporter Peter Blanchard noted that in 2020, "Gore won by fewer than 1,000 votes" and in 2022, "Gore narrowly defeated...a Republican city-county councilor by 265 votes."
Why is this important? Because as Mirror Indy mentions "Gore, 32, is not your typical Democrat in the Republican-dominated Statehouse. Unlike some of his Democratic colleagues, Gore has had...success in ushering legislation across the finish line, authoring four bills that passed the House since getting elected in 2020." These laws include banning machine gun conversion devices and establishing the Green Alert to protect missing at-risk veterans. The whole article is great and you can read it here.
The bottom line is that I'm fighting like hell to hold on to one of the most competitive districts in the state so I can keep doing good work for Hoosiers - but I can't do it alone.
If you can chip in just $14 right now, you'll help me retain this seat and keep it away from one of the most extreme candidates Indiana has ever seen.
