This might come as a surprise, but the future of our democracy could come down to what happens in Montana.
That’s because Sen. Jon Tester (D) is battling for his political life as his carpetbagging multi-millionaire opponent is being propped up by outside groups trying to buy this seat.
If we lose this Senate seat in Montana, it’s going to be incredibly difficult to defend our razor-thin Senate majority.
Not impossible, but it definitely makes things a lot tougher.
I'm about to tell you about our Senate plan of action to prevent the GOP from taking the majority, but before I do: Will you chip in $25 to give Democrats our best possible chance to hold the Senate?
If we lose in Montana – or really any one of the other difficult re-election races being run by vulnerable Senate democrats – it means we would need to net at least one seat by defeating a Republican incumbent.
That means defeating Ted Cruz in Texas and/or Rick Scott in Florida.
But I’m not one to leave things to chance, John, and I believe that we can walk and chew gum at the same time.
That’s why I’m committed to not just re-electing Jon Tester, but also defeating Cruz and Scott.
There are multiple pathways, and we need to be ready to do everything we can to defend the Senate.
John, I need your help to do that. Can I count on you to pitch in $25 right away to help re-elect vulnerable Senate Dems and help pro-democracy champions like Colin Allred (TX) and Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (FL) flip red seats blue?
Thank you,
Dr. Mary L. Trump
