On October 17, DC's Committee on Health held a public hearing on the Consumer Health Information Privacy Protection Act (CHIPPA).

If passed, CHIPPA will provide a comprehensive list of privacy protections for consumer health data given to entities not covered by HIPAA. In short, CHIPPA will protect your confidential health information from being shared without your knowledge or consent.

We've made it easy for you to encourage DC Councilmembers to pass CHIPPA — just follow the link below no later than October 31.
