My name is Jaime Harrison, and I’m running for Senate in South Carolina. I’d like to take a few minutes to introduce myself, and share a little more about why I’m in this race to win.
But before I do, I’m going to ask you to donate $5, $25, whatever you can spare, to help me defeat Lindsey Graham and ensure Democrats take back the Senate. [[link removed]]
I’m the son of a single mom, born and raised by my grandparents in Orangeburg, South Carolina. They didn’t have much, but my grandparents raised me right. They taught me that character counts, as does hard work and helping others when you can.
Thanks to a good public school education, my faith, my family, and my community, I earned a scholarship to Yale. And after I graduated from Georgetown Law, I knew it was time to make good on a promise I had made myself—to come back home to South Carolina and give back to my community. I taught high school, helped kids like me get to college, and helped fight for my state in the private sector and on Capitol Hill.
My story is unusual for a kid from the so-called "Corridor of Shame." But it shouldn’t be. That’s why in 2019, I made the decision to run for Senate. Because I believe in an America where there are opportunities for ALL—not just the wealthy few.
So I’m asking you to contribute to my Senate campaign. Any amount you can spare gets us one step closer to defeating Lindsey Graham and taking back the Senate majority→ [[link removed]]
I remember a time when Senators helped the people they represented. I want to bring that spirit back and help ALL of us achieve our American dreams.
Thank you,
Jaime Harrison
U.S. Senate Candidate, South Carolina
P.S. Here’s a photo of Kirsten and I in South Carolina last year. We’d just met up at one of my favorite lunch spots, Captain D’s, in Columbia. I’m really, really grateful for this community’s support. [[link removed]]
