Hi Friend,
You may remember Marla, who was the youngest person in Mongolia ever to receive cataract surgery. She has needed lots of follow-up care since then, including more surgery earlier this year. But thanks to you, and the Orbis trained doctor who’s been treating her, her eyesight is excellent and her future bright.
We caught up with Marla on our recent Flying Eye Hospital project in Mongolia and were thrilled to see that she is now a thriving six-year-old.
Marla’s mom says,
“Marla is a very curious and creative child. I want her to pursue what she loves to do. I see already that she loves coloring, she loves design, she loves fashion, she loves sewing. I just want her to follow her dreams and be happy and pursue what she loves to do. I think this is very important.”
We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone involved in Marla’s care over the last six years—especially you, our amazing supporters, without whom none of this would be possible.
Thanks,
Team Orbis
