Please explain
takes on the 'majors' of Queensland this week. Let's fight
back!
Dear John
This Saturday, October 26th, One Nation will
stand before voters in all 93 electorates of Queensland for the first
time in our party’s history. While in the past we’ve come close to a
full slate of candidates, this year we’ve done it—every seat has a One
Nation candidate ready to fight for you.
Expect us to produce a full compliment
of candidates in elections from now on.
The Labor Party in Queensland is corrupt,
charging people to access their ministers and denying ordinary
Australians the chance to speak to their MPs unless they’re prepared
to pay.
The lying Liberals are no better. Here in
Queensland, we’ve barely seen the Liberal leader in public—no
handshakes, no connection with the people they claim to represent. And
the polls are showing a narrowing as a result.
One Nation doesn’t oppose fundraising or meals
where attendees donate to a particular party; we just oppose that
format being the only way everyday folk can ‘gain access’ to or
‘influence’ political representatives.
In stark contrast, One Nation's leadership team
has held over 300 events across Queensland and Australia in 2023 and
2024. Tens of thousands of people have had the chance to meet, talk
to, and ask questions of our candidates and leaders since our campaign
began.

Our goal is to hold even more events than the
300 in the coming year. We are very focused on giving people a
voice.
One Nation events have been used to collect
information and form policy; that’s how democracy is meant to work. We
are the only political party to hold a policy free of speech, that's
how committed we are to democracy.
We will continue this approach because we
believe in real accountability. Democracy isn't a stage-managed show,
and politics shouldn’t be a scripted play where everyone pretends to
care from afar.
At One Nation, we believe in open democracy and
transparency. While the major parties shut down debate and then push
repugnant policies like the Misinformation and Disinformation Bill, we
encourage honest dialogue and debate. We want everyday Aussies to ask
questions and hold their leaders accountable.
The major parties’ trend of shutting out the
public from their events is deeply troubling. But One Nation stands
with you, and we will continue to meet and listen to the
people—because that’s what democracy is all about.
