Friend, by now, I hope you have a good sense of who I am and why I’m in this extremely competitive race. But I thought a little reminder would be helpful, and maybe it will even motivate you to make your first contribution! With just 12 days to go, we’re in the final stretch of this toss-up race so every dollar goes a long way. You probably know that I’m a mother of four, a state legislator, and a small business owner. My parents taught me the values of hard work, and never giving up, and that public service means standing up for others because it’s the right thing to do, not because it serves your politics. That’s why in the State Legislature I have a track record of working with both parties to get things done. From lowering the cost of prescription drugs to protecting women’s reproductive freedom, building more affordable housing, and addressing homelessness to taking on the climate crisis, I’m proud of my record. I’ll take that work ethic to Congress in the fight to bring opportunity to all Oregonians. My opponent, Lori Chavez-DeRemer, has spent her time in Congress supporting Republicans’ extreme agenda – at the expense of Oregonians. From voting to restrict access to reproductive care to gutting funding for critical services, Lori Chavez-DeRemer has quickly become part of the problem in Washington. Friend: Polling shows this race is incredibly close, so we’re gearing up for this election to come down to just a handful of votes. Your contribution goes a long way here, and I’d be so grateful if you chipped in today to support our get-out-the-vote efforts in this final stretch. Can I count on you to chip in today?
With gratitude, Janelle |
