In case you missed it, this month Rob filed a lawsuit against Providence
St. Joseph Hospital for breaking California state law by denying an
emergency abortion to a pregnant woman who needed the procedure to protect
her health.

abortion
Something so draconian, cruel, and unlawful should never happen —
especially in a state like California with some of the strongest abortion
rights protections in the country. But right-wing attacks on reproductive
freedom are happening everywhere, resulting in life-or-death impacts.
Pregnancy deaths increased by 56% in Texas after the state’s near-total
abortion ban went into effect, and a recent report shows the U.S. infant
mortality rate increased after Roe v. Wade was overturned, with more
patients forced to carry to term even in cases of congenital anomalies or
birth defects. A new ad from the Harris-Walz campaign tells the story of a
Texas woman who lost her baby and nearly died from sepsis after being
denied an abortion.
Abortion care is healthcare, and as long as Rob is in office, he’ll
continue to safeguard our reproductive rights and fight for justice for
those wronged by these backward bans and policies.
