With only 12 days left until Election Day, I'm going to ask you to consider chipping in whatever you can to support my reelection campaign. But first things first…

It's been a long time since I’ve reached out to share more about myself and why I’m in this race in the first place. That's why I want to take a moment to explain how I got here and what’s next:

Look – I'll never forget where I come from or the opportunities New Hampshire has given me and my family.

My great-grandfather, Arthur Papathanasiou, worked hard to start his own candy store and eventually restaurant in Manchester after moving to America. More than 100 years later, our community continues to keep his business and dream alive.

When my great-grandfather left his home in Livadi, Greece in 1906, he didn’t know what he’d find in America – but he believed that with hard work and determination, this new life would be better than the one he left behind.

I don’t know if my great-grandfather could have ever imagined his great-grandson would represent New Hampshire in Congress, but I like to think he’d be proud of who I've become thanks to his sacrifices.

When I started working at our family restaurant at age 14 as a busboy and dishwasher, I learned early on that business isn’t just about profit – it’s about community. Every customer was welcomed as if they were a guest in our home. That lesson stayed with me, and after college I came back home to Manchester to give back to the community that gave me so much.

Whether it was helping run the family business or serving in public office, I’ve always believed in giving back.

Team, my decision to run for Congress came down to the simple fact that I saw too many hard-working Granite Staters being left behind. Like my grandfather, I have always believed in the American Dream, and I refuse to let it become a thing of the past.

I've fought to support New Hampshire’s small businesses, improve access to affordable health care, get our veterans the benefits they have earned, combat the opioid epidemic, protect our drinking water, and defend our democracy from those who seek to destroy it for personal or political gain.

But none of it would have been possible without the support of people like you.

Thanks to our strong grassroots team, we’ve won three tough races in one of the "swingiest" districts in the country, and with you fighting by my side, I know we have what it takes to defend this seat again.

With Election Day only 12 days away, GOP super PACs are pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into races like this one to try and protect their razor-thin House majority. They've made it clear that NH-01 is one of their top targets, and they’re not letting up until polls close.
