State Patrol swearing-in to impact Capitol parking, tours Oct. 29-30

WHAT: Washington State Patrol Trooper Graduation and Swearing-In Ceremony.
WHEN: Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2-4 p.m. Setup begins at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29.
WHERE:
- Legislative Building, rotunda, and third- and fourth-floor mezzanines.
- Parking stalls along the North Diagonal.
IMPACTS:
- Parking stalls on the North Diagonal will close at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
- DES will suspend tours of the Legislative Building during the event.
- Expect an increase in pedestrian traffic.

The Department of Enterprise Services (DES) stewards the Washington State Capitol Campus, an internationally accredited arboretum. The 403‐acre campus includes five parks, 18 monuments and works of art, and the 260-acre Capitol Lake, which is being restored to an estuary.
