Here's what I love about canvassing: It changes a community.

When we get together and connect with our neighbors — in-person — we understand each other better and can have the conversations that allow us to build a brighter future. Understanding another person's view, hearing their story, and sharing your own, is what makes a grassroots movement so powerful.

We need more Democrats in Northwestern Iowa, John. The only way we can fight for abortion rights, quality education, democracy, working families, and so much more is by electing more leaders who will join me in the state legislature to fight for our values.

I am out canvassing in our community as much as humanly possible not because I enjoy the blisters on my feet or occasional door in my face, but because I know this is one of the best ways we can Stand Tall for All.
