I just stepped offstage after debating my opponent, Prasanth Reddy. And I’d like to tell you about how it went. I’ve been telling you all year long that, despite attacks by extremists, I’m running for re-election proudly on my record. And that’s the case I made to the people of Kansas today. I talked about the importance of having leaders in the room who are grown-up enough to put partisanship aside and get things done. I talked about how proud I am that we’re saving Kansans on Medicare $620 per year on their insulin. I talked about the bipartisan infrastructure law we helped pass, which is boosting domestic manufacturing in Kansas City and creating over 20,000 clean-energy jobs right here in the 3rd District. I talked about the millions of dollars we’ve delivered for rural communities to expand broadband access, fix aging roads and bridges, and bring clean water to every Kansas home. And I talked about the stakes of this race when it comes to abortion rights: my commitment to restoring Roe v. Wade protections across America, vs. my opponent’s extreme anti-abortion agenda — and the extremist groups like Kansans for Life who are trying desperately to win this race for him.
Thanks so much, Sharice |
