Bradley Whitford here. But you might know me better as Josh Lyman on The West Wing or Commander Lawrence on The Handmaid’s Tale.

But this ain’t no stinkin’ TV show: I’m here to talk to you about the real world and some very real stakes.

It’s about Elissa Slotkin and her race for U.S. Senate in Michigan. Elissa embodies so many of the values we tried to portray in The West Wing, a show where principled, honest, and moral leaders faced hard problems.

That’s what Elissa is all about.

Her opponent, Mike Rogers, is more Gilead than Bartlet. In 20 years as an elected official, he never saw an abortion ban he didn’t like or a corporate check he wouldn’t cash.

Washington might never be The West Wing, but I’m going to keep doing my darndest to elect leaders who embody our best qualities, rather than our darkest. So I’m asking: will you chip into help Elissa’s campaign with voting underway in Michigan and just a few days left to make a difference?
