HiJohn, before I ask you to support my reelection campaign, I wanted to share one of the questions I've gotten more and more recently: "Why are you considered extreme?"
This comes not too long after the Chicago Tribune said that they couldn't endorse me given the "extremist nature" of my values, and that they "strongly disagree with many of my far-left positions." But if it's "extreme" to:
🌎 Co-sponsor the Green New Deal to invest in clean energy jobs and infrastructure, end our reliance on fossil fuels, and fight the effects of climate change
🛣️ Co-lead the reintroduction of the American Dream and Promise Act, carving out a clear pathway to citizenship
🚫 Continuously call for a permanent ceasefire and an end to the suffering in Gaza
🎓 Fight for veterans' right to receive a higher education via the Student Veteran Restoration Act
🩺 Advocate for our right to access reproductive healthcare
💲 Run a campaign based on grassroots, small-dollar donations and never accept a dime in corporate PAC money
Then I wouldn't have it any other way.
John, I ran for Congress because I wanted to give our community a voice that would fight for our people, our shared humanity, our safety, and of course, our freedom. Now, I'm running for reelection because of my continued commitment to our district and a continued commitment to doing what's right.
However, the difficult reality my team and I are facing is that ultra-wealthy far-right groups are working their hardest to unseat me and put a GOP puppet in my place.
While my team and I are working hard to combat their efforts, we're relying on grassroots donors like you to help us maximize our work through Election Day.
Today, I'm reaching out because our last End of Month Fundraising Deadline of the cycle is fast-approaching, and we need your help to set my campaign up for success. To help us meet our $10,438 goal, will you consider making a donation of any amount you can spare?
DONATE
Thank you so much,
Congresswoman Delia Ramirez
